Yashasvi Jaiswal’s explosive 104 unbeaten off 60 balls helped his team, the Rajasthan Royals, record their seventh win, beating the Mumbai Indians by nine wickets on Monday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Rajasthan Royals’ Sandeep Sharma contributed with his fifer, putting more pressure on MI, limiting them to 179/9 in 20 overs. The team could surpass their target in 18.3 overs with nine wickets remaining thanks to Jaiswal’s blistering innings.
Jaiswal had been having difficult times prior to this knock, losing wickets for unimpressive runs. Prior to electing to bat, the Mumbai Indians fell to 45/3 in the powerplay after Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma promptly dismissed Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav.
Tilak Varma’s 65 and Nehal Wadhera’s 49, a 99-run partnership, maintained the Mumbai Indians’ positive outlook and helped the team reach a high total. Meanwhile, Mohammad Nabi also played a role, scoring 23 runs off 17 balls. Other than Jaiswal, Buttler and Samson continued with their pace for RR, producing 35 and 38, respectively.
