Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Delhi Capitals by 7 wickets on Monday at Eden Gardens, bouncing back from their previous defeat. Choosing to bat, DC scored 153/9 in 20  overs due to KKR’s prevailing bowling. Vaibhav Arora and Harshit Rana returned with two scalps each, and Varun Chakaravarthy took three wickets. Kuldeep Yadav scored 35 of DC’s 153 runs; however, Jake Fraser-McGurk, a promising young talent, was bowled out by Mitchell Starc, who was injured in the previous match.

Despite that, Starc remained very costly, going for 43  runs from his three overs. Pursuing the objective, the Kolkata Knight Riders facilitated a triumph with seven wickets close by and 21  balls in excess. Phil Salt, the KKR opener, got the team off to an explosive start by hitting (68) off (33).

In the middle order, captain Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer stayed unbeaten on (33) and (26) separately, taking the side to 157/3 in 16.3 overs. KKR is now in second place in the points table for 2024.
