Faf du Plessis Royal Challengers Bengaluru facilitated a triumph over high-flying Sunrisers Hyderabad by 35 runs on Thursday at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Virat Kohli (51 off 43) and Rajat Patidar (50 off 20) impacted their half-hundreds of years, soaring RCB to a genuinely necessary success to fuel their dry mission.

The way to a formidable total of 206/7 was paved with a little assistance from young blaster Cameron Green, who hit 37 shots from 20 balls. The solid foundation for RCB’s crucial victory was laid by the stellar performances of Virat Kohli and Patidar. When Patidar hit Mayank Markande for four sixes in a row in the 11th over, his innings reached its highest point.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, aiming for a daunting total, got off to a slow start with the departures of the explosive Travis Head, who had taken the tournament by storm, and Aiden Markram for (1) and (7), respectively. Thus, SRH’s centre request attempted to keep up with the necessary run rate against a restrained RCB bowling attack. In the meantime, RCB bowlers regularly contributed significant breakthroughs. With his 31 off 15 runs, including three sixes and a boundary, SRH skipper Pat Cummins seemed to be bringing the team back into the game down the order.

Cameron Green, on the other hand, struck to send Cummins back. With 40 unbeaten points, Shahbaz Ahmed led SRH, which finished at 171/8 (20). For RCB, Karn Sharma, Cameron Green, and Swapnil Singh asserted two wickets each.
