Glenn Maxwell’s scintillating knock of 120 runs unbeaten lifted him to be on par with Indian skipper Rohit Sharma for most T20I centuries on Sunday at the Adelaide Oval during Australia’s second T20I against the West Indies.
During his innings, Maxwell made his fifth T20I hundred, coming in to bat after Australia lost top-request players efficiently. It was one of the most remarkable thumps from Maxwell, hammering 12 limits and eight sixes in his innings. With the masterclass century at Adelaide, Maxwell reproduced his Innings that he played against Afghanistan in India at the ODI World Cup last year in December.
With Maxwell’s genius innings that fixed a series win for Australia, he showed his remarkable ability with the bat and kept the best score for Australia. He equals Indian captain Rohit Sharma’s record for making the most hundreds in T20Is and scoring the fifth-most individual score by an Australian player in T20Is.
