Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis has agreed to a three-year contract extension with the Melbourne Stars, marking the start of another three-year stint with the team. Following his one season with the Perth Scorchers, Stoinis signed with the Stars in 2013–14.

Along with playing 98 games for the Melbourne Stars, Stoinis is expected to become just the second batter in history to reach the 100-match mark, following Glenn Maxwell’s feat from the previous season.

Marcus Stoinis is currently focused on his duty with the Durban Super Giants in the SA20. He has, nevertheless, played in major leagues, such as the IPL. Marcus Stoinis has been added to Australia’s Twenty20 International team for the forthcoming three-match series against the West Indies, which gets underway at the Oval on February 9.
