The Delhi Capitals have signed Gulbadin Naib as a replacement for the injured Mitchell Marsh until the end of the IPL in 2024. The DC has bought the Afghanistan all-rounder for INR 50 lakh. Gulbadin Naib has represented Afghanistan in 82 ODIs and 62 T20Is.
After suffering a hamstring injury, Marsh was flown back to Australia. With careworn batting figures of 61 runs and only one wicket from four games, Marsh was neither good at bowling nor batting. DC’s season has undergone a remarkable turnaround, as they now hold the sixth spot in the points table with four victories from nine games.
