With a convincing 192-run triumph over Bangladesh in the second Test match on Wednesday at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Sri Lanka achieved a decisive victory in their two-match Test series. Sri Lanka bowled out Bangladesh for 318. Khaled Ahmed was the last player to be sent back to the pavilion.

Lahiru Kumara collected four wickets, while Kamindu Mendis and Prabath Jayasuriya took three and two wickets separately to confine Bangladesh to (318), who were chasing an enormous objective of (511).

Low scores from their top-requested hitters couldn’t be enough for Bangladesh to save themselves from a major misfortune. Mominul Haque top-scored, crushing his fifty, trailed by Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das, scoring 36 and 38, respectively.

With the triumph, Sri Lanka have moved to the fourth spot in the World Test title standings. They posted 531 in their most memorable innings, with each of their hitters in the top order scoring above 50, except Angelo Matthews, who scored 23 runs.

Bangladesh were bowled out for 178 in their most memorable innings. Zakir Hasan was the high scorer with 54 runs. Sri Lanka in their subsequent innings proclaimed on (157/7), setting the objective of (511).
