Cricket Australia has delayed the two-sided series against Afghanistan because of the distressing situation of the women under Taliban rule. This is the third time that Cricket Australia has made the choice to delay the series.

The three-match T20I series, which was planned to be played in August, by and by has been placed as a second thought. The Taliban has forced extreme limitations on their women’s freedom, excepting their cooperation in sports.

As per the CA assertion, they have kept up with their past position and will defer the bilateral series against Afghanistan.

Further, they show full support for the participation of women and girls in cricket worldwide and will proceed to effectively draw in the Global Cricket Committee and work intimately with the Afghanistan Cricket Board.

In the meantime, Australia is keeping up playing against Afghanistan in the competitions that the ICC controls. Be that as it may, in respective series, Australia has raised its interests about the predominant circumstances in Afghanistan.
