Islamabad United registered an outright exhilarating five-wicket triumph against Karachi Kings on Thursday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. The team effectively struggled against the Karachi Kings to progress in the points table.

Put into action, the Karachi Kings failed to prove their mettle on the ground. The team lost their wickets again and again and, therefore, failed to set a challenging total for the opponents.

The partnership between Tim Seifert (26) and James Vince (29) provided little strength to their game, putting up an inconspicuous total of 150/7 in 20 overs. Further, Kieron Pollard scored 39 off 28 to push the side.

Tymal Mills and Faheem Ashraf picked up three and two wickets each to limit Karachi’s low aggregate.

While chasing the target, Islamabad United lost opener Colin Munro early, yet Salman Ali Agha and Shadab Khan forged a coordinated winning 58-run organization with their scores of (33) and (34) individually to take the group across the line.
